WHY IHPSO
A growing field needs clear professional expectations.
Health, longevity, biohacking, human performance, coaching and adjacent fields are evolving rapidly. New technologies, data sources, interventions and professional roles continue to emerge. At the same time, education, regulation and professional practice differ substantially across professions and jurisdictions. IHPSO is developing a shared, internationally oriented Professional Standards Framework. It is designed to help Professionals understand their role clearly, interpret scientific claims appropriately, manage risk responsibly and represent Professional Standing transparently.

IHPSO connects foundational Professional Standards with practical decision frameworks. Ethics addresses integrity, transparency and accountability. Scope of Practice connects competence, role, applicable rules and context. Evidence & Scientific Communication structures the evaluation of claims and uncertainty. Safety & Risk provides a framework for hazard, person, exposure, controls, escalation and monitoring. These models are designed to support Professionals in making defensible decisions even in new or ambiguous situations.
WHAT IHPSO IS – AND IS NOT
A Professional Standards Framework, not a government licence.
IHPSO Membership, Certificates and Badges document status and completed requirements within the IHPSO Framework. They do not replace a government licence, profession-specific authorization or required education, and they do not automatically expand statutory Scope of Practice. Professionals remain responsible for understanding and complying with the legal, professional, organizational and contractual requirements applicable to their work. IHPSO is operated by Biohack Global Holdings LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. IHPSO is the standards organisation and the brand. Biohack Global Holdings LLC is the contracting entity for Membership and the operator of this website. IHPSO is not a governmental authority and not a professional licensing body.
THE IHPSO FRAMEWORK
Standards are stronger when expectations and status are transparent.
The IHPSO Framework connects four elements. Professional Standards define expectations. Core Education establishes shared foundations. Professional Membership documents fulfilment of defined requirements and an ongoing commitment to Professional Conduct. The Public Registry makes published Professional Profiles and current IHPSO status verifiable.
STANDARDS FIELDS
Universal Professional Standards. Field-specific development.
Universal IHPSO Professional Standards provide the shared foundation. Standards Fields can then organize field-specific standards. Health is the first Standards Field. The architecture is designed to support additional fields over time in a controlled way without requiring the universal Professional Standards to be redefined.
FOR PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANISATIONS
A shared framework across different professional backgrounds.
IHPSO is designed for Professionals and organisations working across Health, Human Performance and adjacent fields who want to apply clear Professional Standards. Depending on qualification, role and applicable requirements, this may include coaches, trainers, yoga and movement professionals, nutrition professionals, longevity and performance professionals, regulated healthcare professionals, education providers and organisations. A professional title alone does not establish IHPSO Membership or additional professional authority.
TRANSPARENCY
Professional Standing. Publicly verifiable.
Professional credentials are more transparent when their current status can be verified. The IHPSO Public Registry is therefore a central part of the framework. Published profiles can display current IHPSO status, relevant credentials and standards associations. Registry information should not imply more than has actually been verified and recorded in the system.
