INTERNATIONAL HUMAN POTENTIAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS IHPSO

WHY IHPSO

A shared professional framework for a growing field.

Health, longevity, biohacking, coaching and human performance are evolving rapidly. New methods, technologies and professional roles often emerge faster than shared quality expectations. IHPSO provides a shared, internationally oriented framework: clear Professional Standards, transparent requirements and a public way to verify Professional Standing. IHPSO does not replace government licences or profession-specific regulation. It provides an additional internationally oriented layer of professional standards and transparency.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Professional Standards are stronger when expectations are clear and verifiable.

IHPSO Standards are designed not only to state values, but to support Professionals in real decisions. The first universal foundations cover Ethics & Professional Conduct, Scope of Practice, Evidence & Scientific Communication, and Safety & Risk. Further standards are developed and versioned by Standards Field, evidence base and review process.

CORE EDUCATION

A shared foundation across different professional backgrounds.

IHPSO Professionals may come from very different professional backgrounds. Required Core Education therefore does not grant new statutory professional authority; it establishes a shared Professional Standard. The four Core Courses cover Ethics & Professional Conduct, Scope of Practice, Evidence & Scientific Communication, and Safety & Risk Fundamentals. Each course concludes with an assessment with an 80 percent pass mark.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Professional Standing is more than a badge.

IHPSO Professional Membership represents fulfilment of defined requirements and an ongoing commitment to professional conduct. IHPSO Professional Membership is available to individuals aged 18 or over who are acting in a professional or business capacity. It is not offered for primarily private or consumer purposes. Membership, Certificates and Badges do not replace government licences or automatically expand statutory Scope of Practice. They document status within the IHPSO Professional Framework.

PUBLIC REGISTRY

Professional Standing. Publicly verifiable.

The IHPSO Public Registry creates transparency. Users can view published Professional Profiles and verify current IHPSO status, recorded credentials and relevant associations. This turns a claim into a verifiable status.

STANDARDS FIELD

Health is the starting point. The framework is built for more.

IHPSO begins with Health as its first Standards Field, creating a foundation for Professionals across health, longevity, biohacking, performance, coaching and adjacent fields. The architecture is designed to support additional Standards Fields over time in a controlled way without requiring the universal Professional Standards to be redefined.

WHO IHPSO IS FOR

Different professional backgrounds. Shared Professional Standards.

IHPSO is designed for Professionals working across Health, Human Performance and adjacent fields who want to align their professional practice with clear standards. Depending on qualification, role and applicable requirements, this may include coaches, trainers, yoga and movement professionals, nutrition professionals, health and wellness professionals, longevity and performance professionals, and regulated healthcare professionals. Belonging to a professional category alone does not establish IHPSO Membership or additional professional authority.

Professional standards require clarity, responsibility and transparency.
